Ross
Bleckner often addresses themes of remembrance, loss and
transcendence. Having been one of the leading neo-expressionist
artists in the past two decades, Bleckner has already had a major
retrospective of his works at The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and has
had numerous solo exhibitions in major museums throughout the world.
A
graduate of New York University (B.A.) and the
California Institute of the Arts (M.F.A.), Mr. Bleckner currently
resides in New York City.

It
is well known that much of Bleckner's work makes references to
AIDS and the deaths related to this disease. His past focus on and
use of cell structures and microscopic images have furthered this
notion. But as time progresses, so too has Bleckner's art, as he
continues to creatively blend the abstract with the
representational -- to create something truly original.
