Randall Stoltzfus was born in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the son of a Mennonite housepainter, and the grandson of an Amish Deacon. He has had solo shows with the Durst Organization and with Supreme Trading in New York, Migration Gallery in Virginia, Osuna Gallery in Washington, DC, and most recently at Limn Gallery in San Francisco. He has been a resident artist at the Ucross Foundation, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Millay Colony, and at the Constance Saltonstall Foundation. He lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, where the grit in the shadows really makes the highlights sparkle.
