A native New Yorker, Jaye Fox completed most of her studies at the Art Students League of New York, where her many instructors included Sharon Sprung and Harvey Dinnerstein, and where she received both a Merit Scholarship and the Phyllis Mason grant. She is, however, most indebted to her studies in drawing and painting technique with Andy Reiss, in Brooklyn. Her work has been featured in numerous group shows, and she has been a finalist in the annual competition of the American Society of Portrait Artists. Having relocated to the Berkshires, she is currently a docent and teacher at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, and is co-director of studio21south, an art gallery in North Adams, Massachusetts.
