Valeri Larko's urban landscape paintings reflect her ongoing fascination with overlooked areas on the fringes of the city. She paints on location, returning many times to the same site. A large painting can take her up to three months to complete.
Larko's paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group shows, notably at the Morris Museum, Hunterdon Art Museum, New Jersey State Museum, Brooklyn's Safe-T-Gallery, the Bronx River Art Center, ACA Galleries, NYC, Katonah Art Museum, NY and the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. Four of her murals are on permanent display at the Secaucus Transfer Station, NJ.
