Jaye Fox, "Brooklyn Fabergé"

We're thrilled this week to feature the Brooklyn landscape paintings of Jaye Fox. Jaye's both a native New Yorker and a long-time denizen of the Berkshires, and we think of her work as a similar hybrid - it it, she applies a certain comtemplative-ruralist approach to choosing and depicting scenes that only a committed urbanite could love. At the link, check out the full-size version of this and four more of her paintings, and be sure also to cruise over to her gallery's blog, to see new work by a number of other talented artists who share her sensibility.
