Over
Pork Chops
Annalynn Hammond
Your
entire eyeball and socket pulsed
as you chewed. Fish soft, newborn,
an
alien brain. Or maybe amphibian,
the in-between, fresh legs pushing out,
webbed with black slime. It didn't bother me
that much, except it made me
think of dead things
and how they get that way.
